One of the most common mistakes made in leadership, is removing people before proper evaluation of the system in place. Many times, you can have the correct personnel, but the talent is not being maximized because they are in the wrong roles. It happens all the time in organizations, and teams as well. You have the exact people that need to be on the bus, but they are in the wrong seats. From a leadership standpoint, choosing strong team members is important, however, understanding their gifts and allowing them to flourish in the areas where they perform the best is far more valuable. As simple as it seems, most organizations don’t reach their potential because they neglect this fundamental aspect. And it’s usually based on, who’s driving the bus. Lock In!
