Pizzelle comes from a simple but powerful symbol. As a senior in high school, I spent my first-period study hall each morning in my principal’s office, Mr DeLoreto, someone who became a mentor and steady presence in my life. His secretary would always bake me cookies, and among the different batches, was the pizzelle. Over time, that cookie came to represent far more than a routine or a treat. It symbolized safety, belief, consistency, and the kind of environment where growth happens. It represents mentors who show up when it matters most, who see potential early, and who help shape who we become long after the moment has passed. This episode is a tribute to the people who guide us, challenge us, and leave a permanent imprint on our lives in ways that are often quiet, but never small. This episode is dedicated to a very special person to me forever, Mr DeLoreto.
